About the Blawnox Food Pantry
For several years Blawnox Borough Manager and now Director of the Blawnox Food Pantry, Kathy Ulanowicz organized a holiday food donation program. Through this effort, she saw 1st hand the need for on-going, monthly food assistance in the community. With the support of a group of dedicated volunteers, the pantry opened for the 1st time on October 27, 2023.
The Pantry is open one day a month with our operating dates and times listed on the Our Hours page of this website.
Our mission is simply “Neighbors helping neighbors” and the Pantry is free and open to anyone who needs the help. The only information we ask for so that we can better serve our guests is what community you live in, how many are in your household and the approximate ages of the members of you household.
We offer a wide range of shelf stable boxed and canned foods, paper products, soaps and based on availability, fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs, frozen chicken or beef and breads.
The Pantry is located on the first floor of the Blawnox Municipal building at 376 Freeport Road.
The Blawnox Food Pantry is a 170(c)1 municipal charity.
